How MEDIADUSTRY collects, uses and protects personal information.
1. Who we are
MEDIADUSTRY, Tenelenweg 11, 6367 VR Voerendaal, the Netherlands, KvK 54271932, is the data controller. Contact: info@mediadustry.com.
2. Information we process
- name, address, email address, telephone number and account details;
- order, invoice, transaction and payment-status information;
- messages, support requests and preferences;
- IP address, device, browser, cookie and usage information;
- materials supplied for a project, including text, images, branding, voice or avatar material.
3. Why we use it
We process information to perform contracts, handle orders and digital delivery, provide support, secure the store and prevent fraud. We also process information to meet legal obligations, for legitimate interests such as improving our services, and with consent for non-essential cookies or marketing where required. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
4. Service providers
We share only necessary information with providers such as Shopify, payment providers, email, storage, analytics, security and digital-delivery services and, for relevant custom work, AI service providers. They act on our instructions or under their own privacy responsibilities. We may also disclose data where required by law or during a business reorganisation. We do not sell personal information.
5. International transfers
Some providers process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as an adequacy decision or European Commission standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed. Dutch tax and administration records are generally retained for seven years. Order and account data is retained for performance, warranty, disputes and legal duties. Correspondence is generally retained for up to two years after resolution. Marketing data is retained until unsubscribe. Source material for custom or avatar work is normally deleted within 90 days after final delivery unless a longer period is agreed or legally required.
7. Cookies
Necessary cookies support operation and security. We request consent for analytics or marketing cookies where legally required. Choices can be changed through the store’s cookie or privacy settings.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. Send requests to info@mediadustry.com. We may verify your identity. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.
9. Security and children
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, although no system is perfectly secure. Our services are not directed at children under 16.
